How to use a crystal ball?

1. For Divination (Scrying)

  • Prepare the Space:
    • Find a quiet and dimly – lit room. You can use candles to provide a soft, flickering light. The idea is to create an atmosphere that helps you focus and enter a more intuitive state. Place the crystal ball on a stable stand or a soft cloth – covered surface.
    • You might also want to burn some incense, like sandalwood or lavender, to cleanse the space and set a spiritual mood.
  • Prepare Yourself:
    • Wash your hands to symbolically purify your energy. Take a few deep breaths to relax and clear your mind of distractions. You can also say a short prayer or set an intention, such as “I am open to receiving insights and visions that will guide me.”
    • Some people like to hold the crystal ball in their hands for a few minutes before starting to scry to establish a connection with it.
  • The Scrying Process:
    • Sit or stand comfortably in front of the crystal ball and gaze into it with a soft, unfocused look. Don’t stare intently as you would at a book; instead, let your eyes relax and your vision become a bit blurry.
    • As you look into the crystal ball, notice any shapes, colors, or movements that seem to appear. These could be mists, swirls, or what look like figures or symbols. For example, if you see a heart – shaped figure, it might be interpreted as a sign related to love.
    • Let your intuition guide you in interpreting these images. You can keep a journal to record what you see and your interpretations, and later see if there are any connections to actual events in your life.

2. For Meditation

  • Positioning:
    • Place the crystal ball at eye level in a comfortable position. You can sit on a cushion or a chair in front of it. If you’re sitting on the floor, you might use a low table to rest the crystal ball on.
    • Make sure the lighting is soft and not too harsh so that the reflections from the crystal ball don’t cause eye strain.
  • Starting the Meditation:
    • Begin by focusing on your breath. Take slow, deep breaths in and out, and let your eyes rest on the crystal ball. Notice the way the light plays on the surface of the crystal, the curves, and the transparency.
    • As you continue to breathe and focus on the crystal ball, allow your thoughts to slow down. If your mind starts to wander, gently bring your attention back to the crystal ball and your breath.
    • You can also use the crystal ball as a visual anchor to help you reach a deeper state of meditation. For example, you might imagine that the crystal ball is a portal to a peaceful, inner space or that it’s filled with a healing light that’s flowing into you.

3. For Energy Healing and Chakra Balancing

  • Chakra Alignment:
    • Know the positions of the chakras in the body (the main ones are located along the spine from the base to the crown of the head). For example, the root chakra is at the base of the spine and the third – eye chakra is in the middle of the forehead.
    • Place the crystal ball near the chakra you want to work on. For chakra balancing, it’s often recommended to use quartz crystal balls because of their purported ability to amplify and direct energy.
    • You can hold the crystal ball a few inches above the chakra area and visualize the crystal ball emitting a light that’s the same color as the chakra (e.g., red for the root chakra, indigo for the third – eye chakra) and that this light is cleansing and balancing the chakra.
  • General Energy Clearing:
    • To clear the energy of a room or a person, you can hold the crystal ball in your hand and walk around the space or around the person. Visualize the crystal ball absorbing any negative energy and transforming it into positive energy.
    • Another method is to place the crystal ball in a central location of a room and let it “soak up” any stagnant or negative energy over time. You can then cleanse the crystal ball regularly (using methods like running it under cool water or placing it in sunlight or moonlight) to reset its energy.
